Chuck Raymond has been a member of SMPS and a CPSM since 2004. With a B.S. in Forestry and Wildlife Management, it’s been an interesting and sometimes hilarious journey to AEC marketing, but he really enjoys what he’s doing now.
This is Chuck’s third time as a member of the Boston Chapter’s Board of Directors, having previously served as Director of Sponsorship and Director of the CPSM Committee. As the Outreach Director, Chuck and his committee are responsible for building awareness of SMPS Boston and its members as a leading resource for business development and marketing expertise in the AEC industry. They do this by developing strategic relationships with peer industry organizations to provide educational programming and networking opportunities to the SMPS membership. Outreach also coordinates an annual “Day of Service,” volunteering with a social services organization.
The Outreach Committee is also responsible for planning, managing, and making sure that the SMPS booth at the annual ABX Conference in Boston each fall is fully staffed and is an inviting and informative place for attendees to stop, chat, and learn about the SMPS mission.
As Corporate Marketing Manager at Geosyntec, Chuck works with various company-wide technical practice areas to help them improve their market share by increasing their brand awareness through activities like webinars, videos, newsletters, etc.
Chuck and his wife live in Leominster. He is in the middle of a very fun and tasty journey through the whiskeys, getting to know more about bourbons, ryes, and scotches through sampling and reading (mostly sampling). He also enjoys hiking, usually with his dog, and doing as much traveling as funds will allow. His favorite places that he has visited so far are New Zealand and Italy, but he’s always on the lookout for more.
