Pamela (PJ) Roscoe’s journey with SMPS and the AEC industry started 20 years ago when she landed her first marketing role in the AEC industry at BOND Construction. At BOND, she grew from being the company’s first marketing manager to leading a team of four. Her roots were in high tech software and PR. Knowing that she needed to quickly learn this new industry, PJ took a colleague’s advice and joined SMPS.
After attending Basic Training (now called Boot Camp) in 2001, PJ became an active member in SMPS Boston with roles on the CPSM Committee, Communications Committee, Awards Committee, and the Planning Committee for the Northeast Regional Conference. Today, she is giving back to the organization that has given her so much over her career, including valuable knowledge and experience, strong industry relationships, and close friendships. As a board member and Director of the CPSM Committee, PJ is helping SMPS Boston members attain CPSM certification and helping the Chapter’s CPSMs and Fellows continue to prosper in their careers.
During her time in the industry, PJ has also worked at several engineering and architecture firms, continuing to apply her creativity, marketing strategies, and technical skills to help her employers expand their presence in the marketplace. Her recent work at DRA Architects included initiating a new website and corporate identity, and planning a successful 95th-year anniversary celebration. She was thrilled to receive an SMPS Marketing Communications Award in 2018 for DRA’s Corporate Identity.
