After graduating Summa Cum Laude from UMass Dartmouth with a degree in Marketing and minors in Communications and Finance, Sabrina started her career at The New England Real Estate Journal (NEREJ). She spent four years connecting with leaders in the A/E/C industry and reporting on many of the exciting developments taking place throughout New England. With Sabrina’s love for the industry growing, she looked for an opportunity to work for an A/E/C firm. She soon became a Marketing Coordinator for a Construction Management firm where she spent the next two years leading proposal submissions, managing the company website, coordinating events, scheduling photo shoots, and developing presentations and advertisements. During this time, her manager, Aurora Cammarata, SMPS Boston Past President & A/E/C Marketing/Business Development Superstar, recommended she join SMPS Boston and get involved in a committee.
Sabrina joined SMPS Boston and quickly became an active member of the Communications Committee, managing social media platforms and helping organize the committee by creating a committee manual. Shortly after becoming involved in SMPS, Sabrina looked to further explore her interest in the Real Estate Market and joined VHB as a Senior Marketing Specialist for their Real Estate Market. Sabrina is now leading VHB’s Regional Real Estate Marketing practices and helping support market growth through business development, market research, and content and materials creation.
Sabrina served as SMPS Boston Communications Committee Chair for two years and is excited to be taking on the role of Director of Communications for the 2019 – 2020 Chapter Years. When asked about the value of SMPS Boston, she said: “My involvement in SMPS Boston has been invaluable to me; providing me with educational resources, professional development opportunities, and tight-knit industry connections.” Sabrina is also an active member of NAIOP Massachusetts, CoreNet New England, and MassEcon. When she is not busy with Real Estate related activities, she enjoys reading, writing (especially poetry and short stories), cooking, listening to music, traveling, trying new craft beer, playing basketball and tennis, and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her two cats, Gunner and Jaxson. Her most recent exciting achievement was having one of her poems selected to be published in the Make Poetry Concrete contest in Newton, MA!
