InDesign Workshop: Beyond the Basics, Part II

Are you an InDesign expert? Neither are we! But if you are comfortable with the basics of and want to take your skills to the next level, this workshop is for you.

This classroom-style, interactive course will provide each attendee will their own computer to following along with a trained instructor. Your registration fee will cover the purchase of one InDesign textbooks with topics of more advanced skills. Subjects covered during this 5-hour long course will include:

  • Preparing Documents for Multiple Formats
    • Build Layout Versions
    • Link Content
  • Managing Advanced Page Elements
    • Create Repeating Content
    • Anchor Objects and Manage a Library
  • Managing Styles
    • Import Styles from Microsoft Word Documents
    • Manage Styles
  • Building Complex Paths
    • Create Clipping Paths
    • Create Compound Paths
  • Managing Long Documents
    • Build a Table of Contents

New to the session: attendees are invited to bring a document of their own for troubleshooting with the instructor and colleagues.

Who is this for? This class is designed for marketing professionals who have experience managing proposals in Adobe InDesign. A basic level of understanding of InDesign is required for this class. Topics covered will include some overlap with our 2016 InDesign Class, but new topics have been added as well.

Cancellation Policy: If you can no longer attend an event, we encourage you to find a substitution; substitutions are welcome at any time. Full refunds will be granted if cancellation is made within 72 hours of the start time. No refunds will be made for no-shows. Email smpsboston@smpsboston.org for substitution or refund requests.

We use PayPal as our payment processor. However, you will have the option to use a credit card or debit card for payment. You do not have to have a PayPal account to register and pay for an event. When checking out you will have to choose PayPal as the payment method. However, on the next screen you’ll see the option to pay with a debit card or credit card.
