Approved for construction in 2016, the South Bay project consists of five 6-story buildings including approx. 120,000 SF of commercial/retail space, a 12- screen cinema, a 130 room hotel, approx. 475 units of housing, two parking garages and community space for events such as farmer’s markets, craft shows, charity drives and festivals. With the majority of retail now open, the final completion date is scheduled by the end of summer 2018 and promises to be the latest trend in city destinations without actually having to go into the city! Presented by Stantec, EDENS and Lee Kennedy, this program will include a walking tour of the completed retail space and streetscape, as well as an inside look at the two residential buildings currently under construction. The team will share insight on community involvement and impact, design goals, structural data and branding strategies.
