Marketing and Communications Specialist

Acentech is searching for a full-time Marketing and Communications Specialist to collaborate with our marketing/business development team in our Cambridge, MA headquarters. Offering some of the most generous and comprehensive benefits in the industry we are excited to grow our four-person marketing and business development team with this newly created position. We seek someone interested in a diverse array of projects from public relations, proposal support, strategic marketing pursuits, and business development events and research.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism or similar field and/or related experience in marketing/communications. Prior employment with construction/architecture/engineering firm a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with marketing-related research
  • Ability to manage priorities and move projects forward with minimal guidance
  • Solutions oriented self-starter
  • Digital marketing knowledge desirable
  • Software capabilities: strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required; some knowledge of InDesign and WordPress preferred. Familiarity with Deltek Vision an asset
  • Eye for design and interest in the design industry and the built environment
  • Creativity required, we enjoy pushing the envelope here
  • Adept at overseeing and executing concurrent deadlines while working on a variety of different projects
  • High energy and dedicated
  • Attention to detail an asset


Track conferences and tradeshows: research dates, locations, themes, costs, and call for speaker deadlines. Regularly update tradeshow spreadsheet documents and communicate updates with staff

  • Business development research and tracking
  • Prepare qualifications statements in Word and InDesign
  • Deltek Vision database: data entry and maintenance of records
  • Assist with scheduling external Acentech Lunch & Learns with clients
  • Prepare/send AIA certificates of completion to attendees
  • Regularly research/track Federal Business opportunities
  • Document formatting, copy editing, and proofreading
  • Website updates in WordPress
  • Create Marketing content
