Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Flansburgh Architects is currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our Boston office. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will work with senior staff to coordinate Flansburgh’s marketing, communications, and business development activities.

Deadline-driven tasks include:

  • Track and review Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other project leads;
  • Produce client outreach materials, qualification packages, and proposals;
  • Submit Flansburgh projects to various regional and national award competitions;
  • Submit project-related information to publishers;
  • Create and update print and digital advertisements;
  • Prepare marketing collateral and coordinate staff participation for conferences and trade shows;
  • Coordinate communications with architectural photographers and filmmakers, vendors, consultants and sub-consultants, and other contacts;

Other responsibilities include:

  • Organize and update contact information for past, current, and target clients as well as press and industry contacts;
  • Create monthly newsletters;
  • Maintain and update staff resumes and project descriptions for proposals and other uses;
  • Create and update marketing collateral, including company brochures;
  • Maintain and update Flansburgh website and social media accounts;
  • Track and review basic web analytics and strategize Flansburgh’s online marketing needs;
  • Organize and update internal databases for past and current Flansburgh projects;
  • Manage and renew Flansburgh’s memberships with professional organizations;
  • Create online postings and coordinate applicant interviews for job openings;
  • Assist principals and other senior staff with InDesign tasks on an as-needed basis;
  • Research new project leads, including design competitions;
  • Research new award submissions and publishing opportunities;
  • Research and pursue other business development opportunities;
  • The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in history of art and architecture, English, journalism, marketing, graphic design, or other similar fields, and can thrive in a creative studio work environment. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is required, and experiences in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator are a plus. Work experience at an A/E/C firm or having some architecture-related background is also a plus.
