The Director of Communications is a key leadership position reporting directly to the President of Isgenuity. The candidate will be responsible for directing, strategizing, creating and executing all corporate communications (including but not limited to public relations, marketing and social media) at Isgenuity. Candidates must have an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to galvanize senior leadership, demonstrate a drive for innovation and creativity, and possess an eye for design and shrewd strategic business sense.
Professional Responsibilities and Attributes
Lead and develop the firm’s communications strategy in collaboration with senior leadership; actively plan and implement the strategy across all communication platforms.
Create content, publish work, organize events, and manage deadlines in a proactive, organized, and detail-focused manner, while also effectively managing a graphic designer who supports Isgenuity’s marketing and communications.
Mature and developed communication and interpersonal skills with experience building direct client- and industry-wide partner relationships.
Exceptional writing and proofreading skills across multiple platforms and deliverables to craft compelling narratives of Isgenuity’s work and mission including print and digital media, articles, blogs, qualifications and proposal materials, and award submissions.
Understands the nuance of words and how tailored communication can influence, connect, define and build meaningful value to an organization.
Takes great personal pride in being responsible for directing and creating the firm’s communications—both specific and strategic—to establish and define future success.
8—10 years of work experience in professional services within the Architecture and Design Industry.
Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, architecture, or related degree.
A passion for architecture and design encompassing the broader history of architecture, knowledge of nationally and internationally recognized firms and core industry drivers in the firm’s key practice areas.
