Marketing Manager

Wilson HGA’s S&T group is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented and experienced marketing manager to join its team. This position plans, manages and executes marketing activities in support of the firm’s marketing strategy, as defined by the Director of Marketing, Market Sector Leaders and Principals in a manner that supports the vision and mission of HGA in accordance with external laws and regulations along with the firm’s internal controls, principles and standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or other related field or required
•  Minimum ten years previous marketing/communications experience required
•  Experience with RFQ/RFP and interview preparation process (knowledge of architectural and/or engineering fields a plus) 
•  Excellent copywriting/editing skills and attention to detail
•  Top-notch organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, multi-tasking and decision-making skills
•  Strong graphic design abilities and proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
•  Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and remain cool under pressure
•  A team player showing initiative and ownership of his/her areas of responsibility

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.  Plans marketing activities in support of the company’s marketing strategy
  a) Apply the HGA Strategic Point of View through the Boston Approach to marketing needs and project requirements
  b) Develops and updates a comprehensive plan to manage marketing events and activities
  c) Work with Principals to track and plan conferences/events
  d) Vision reporting and updates
  e) Report out to office on marketing activities/placements/events
  f) Manages local marketing admin budget, supports Practice Group Leader with management of their marketing budget
  g) Build trust and support for all efforts in the office including; Principals, HR, Community Action, Office Director, and others.
2.  Leads, creates, manages and executes marketing activities;
  a) Works with internal partners to gather requirements and develop strategy
  b) Acts at the conduit to connect and assign copywriting, design, web design and other duties as appropriate to support PR, Digital, Brand, Awards and Photography
  c) Manages external relationships with marketing communications vendors and professional organizations
3.  Recruits, trains and manages marketing staff through the development of goals, objectives and systems. Manages the implementation of new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the Marketing department and performed services.
4.  Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:
Knowledge of:
• Intermediate Marketing concepts, practices and procedures
• Windows explorer or other internet search programs
• Intermediate knowledge of marketing practices, concepts and methods
• Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols 
• Marketing communications processes and techniques

Skilled with:
• Microsoft Office products Word and Excel (intermediate level)
• Strong graphic design abilities and proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• Project tracking system (Vision) as required

Ability to:
• Lead and/or supervise Marketing department-wide procedures, standards and workloads
• Communicate effectively with communications project owners
• Direct and develop Marketing department policies and procedures
• Keep abreast of current trends and developments in marketing
• Collaborate with Marketing Managers across the firm to ensure consistent use of procedures and standards
